File and Print Servers
Our file and print servers use Samba (CIFS) to share data across all
major computer operating systems. File rights and permissions can be
assigned to individual users or groups of users so your sensitive data
is only seen by those who should see it.
Document Solutions
We offer document storage solutions to help your office go paperless.
The document server acts as a single repository for any records or
documents you need to keep. Documents can be manually uploaded or
loaded directly to the server from a network scanner. Once on the
server, any file can be easily accessed through a secure web interface.
Off-Site Backup Solutions
Data backup is crucial to any business. Our backup solutions offer
automated off-site data transfer. The data is encrypted during the
backup to ensure security and integrity. The off-site backup server can
either be stored in a location of your choosing (another office or
home) or in our data center. All backups are incremental so they can be
rolled back at any time to any specific backup date.
Web Server Solutions
Fossit Solutions can integrate a web server into your home or office.
We offer the Apache web server with modules for PHP, PERL, Python and
Ruby programing languages. An in-house web server can dramatically
boost the speed of any web applications you are currently running
off-site.
Database Server
We have two database software packages available - MySQL and
PostgreSQL. MySQL is the industry standard back end for website
databases. Its speed and reliability are great for situations requiring
multiple users accessing the database frequently. PostgreSQL is a very
robust and mature database product. It offers custom programmable
triggers, stored functions, and handles transactions. Both of these
offerings are fully SQL standards compliant and can be accessed by both
ODBC and JDBC connections.
Reporting and Data Mining Solutions
Fossit Solutions offers a very powerful and flexible reporting and data
mining tool. The tool can gather data from any source that supports the
JDBC connection standard. Reports can be generated through raw SQL
queries or using a report builder similar to Business Objects®
Crystal Reports® . The reports are accessed through a web interface
and can be scheduled to run at specific times. Scheduled reports can
then be emailed to any number of users automatically.
